Our colleague Pascal gave a presentation at the Dutch LabVIEW User Group!
22-03-2022
The Dutch LabVIEW User Group (DutLUG for short) is a quarterly event aimed at all LabVIEW enthousiasts, it's also completely free. Every meeting two community members give a presentation about a range of topics anything and everything LabVIEW. There is also a social event with drinks, fries and burgers. In March our very own Pascal Heinen gave a presentation about his Commodore 64 on LabVIEW FPGA project.
Retrocomputing is cool as never before. People play C64 games in emulators and listen to SID music, but few people know much about the C64 architecture. Pascals talk attempts to communicate "everything about the C64" to the listener, including its internals and quirks, as well as the tricks that have been used to emulate this machine using LabVIEW FPGA, trying to revive the spirit of times when programmers counted clock cycles and hardware limitations were seen as a challenge.
